Becoming a Host Family is an opportunity to meet people from around the world, and at the same time share a rewarding experience AND that spare bedroom that nobody has been using!
Why become a Host Family?

Basic things a Host Family needs to provide:
- A warm welcome and Australian hospitality
- A private bedroom with bed, bed linen and storage
- Access to bathroom facilities (private or shared)
- Prepared meals on set days of the week (2-3 meals daily)
- Access to everyday household facilities
- A key to the property for personal access for longer stay students, possibly internet
How to become a Host Family
If you would like to be a Host Family for international students, you will need to become an Approved Host. Will this be difficult? Not at all!
Simply, download and complete the Application Form for Host Families. Once completed, send us a scanned copy or post to PO Box 2827, Cairns as all initial application are managed at our head office.
We will then review your application, arrange a time to conduct a home inspection and provide some training before adding you to our database.
